Title: Cannot save any updates to products or categories
Post by: aromasense on March 07, 2015, 03:10:50 AM
VirtueMart 2.6.12
Joomla! 2.5.27

Whenever I try to update a product I can not save.
Another thing I noticed is that the products are not shown in tabs but all just on 1 page.
All works fine on my local machine
Am at a loss here please see screen shots
cheers
Marco

Broken JS, check your 3rd party plugins. Some interfere in vm, even not vm related

use Firebug to look for JS errors or non/wrongly loaded JS

Just a point - I have noticed that with the BE Chrome browser is more often affected by BE JS problems than FireFox -
probably because Chrome seems to cache much "harder" than FF

Thanks for your support folks, do any of you know if there is a cheat sheet on how to use firebug to debug VM?

Sorry for my ignotance but all has been working great so far so never needed to use firebug.

Maybe it was just a browser cache problem. Any of our javascript is versioned now to prevent that, but sometimes there can be still a hickup, depends on your browser and your cache settings.
