Title: No "Cart Variant" Custom Field Type VM3?

In VM2 there was a "Cart Variant " custom field type for creating drop down menu product options like size, color, ect. I'm not seeing this in VM3 is there an equivalent? Documentation anywhere?

Sorry if this is already in the stickied threads, but after skimming those it looked as if they were about VM2.

I'm looking for the same thing. What happened to the "Cart Variant"? Is it worded differently? thanks

This solution worked well for me and the changes look to be a nice improvement on the old system. To create a drop down menu option for a product (example "Size" small, medium, large, ect.) select "String" as the custom field type and then select "Yes" for  "Cart Input".
