WTF is a widget? Do you mean modules? If so then it sounds like you have not set the modules to only show when the user is logged in. If they are not logged in then their assigned group will not be known.

You are wrong though. When a user is not logged in the "default Guess" is used in VM and or Public in Joomla.
In that case if "default Guess" is not in the product the product should not display in the module for rescent product.
This is a bug, please move it back to the report bug
