Title: Component Virtuemart-AIO not found in admin menu
Post by: ptrouw on October 24, 2014, 10:42:13 AM
AIO installs without problem. Only minor thing is that the Compent link isn't working:
Error
An error has occurred.
404 Component not found

I suppose this is still from earlier versions? The folder on the server: /components/com_virtuemart_allinone is also empty

There is no aio component once installed. the aio "component" is a single installer package for all the VM modules & plugins.

You can remove the menu entry by searching your DB for -  (use your table prefix)

SELECT * FROM `jos_menu` WHERE `link` LIKE '%allinone%'  and delete it

thx that works of course. I suppose this is still an inheritance from the vm2.

What problem???  There is no problem - you don't need a AIO menu because there is nothing to administer

IMHO there is nothing in \com_virtuemart.2.9.9g_ext_aio\script.vmallinone.php (or later) to add a menu item
therefore it was already there in your install

The story is, there was the akeeba live udpater, but the ARS was not working as expected.

Then we invested in another pure package delivering system. The developer started very nice, but it got stuck. So atm there is a new view, which just lists your virtuemart plugins, modules. There should be later a kind of liveupdater for the Virtuemart related extensions.

I'm sorry Milbo, but I'm not following you.
Could you provide any solution for my problem? Shoud I uninstall Akeeba?
Could you please be more specific? Shoud we wait for a new VM3 update?

Really getting tired of repeating this - but here is one last go...   ;)

THERE IS NO PROBLEM!

there is no component - ignore the menu item or remove as above .. put some sticky tape over the menu on your screen.. forget it -- move on with your life..
concentrate on fixing global warming etc...

I'm sure in later VM3 versions a better solution will be found as Milbo explains

Sorry but....
I ran into the same "problem" and just learned that there is no problem. WHY IS THERE a com_virtuemart.3.0.0_ext_aio.tar available IN THE file:com_virtuemart.3.0.0_extract_first

Remove the ...aio package  and  now more fuzz in this forum  ;)

YvonneP, the other method is to provide 20 plugins and most people must install directly 10 of them. The all in one installer does that for you. In Future it is planned todo more, showing license, download link, version, and so on.

Update warning ask me to update AIO and I did it but now are the administration pages to be blank. With the blank pages I can not reinstall it as done in the past to solve the problem, Is there any other way to solve it apart installing the backup?
Thank you.
