I notice there is no download for Joomla 3. Does VM2 by chance work with Joomla 3? I would have searched for this, but the search functionality of your forum doesn't allow searching for 'joomla 3'. Are you guys going to cease development of Virtuemart? Is that why there's no version for Joomla 3?

Download VM2.9.9 from http://dev.virtuemart.net/projects/virtuemart/files I am already using it on J3
I have completed 2 small simple sites in J3/VM2.9.9 - all went well - some very minor issues that will I'm sure get tidied up in the final release..
I think the only unknowns are plugin (shipping, payment ext) availability
