Title: View Orders ACL Issue
Post by: trec-r on March 03, 2014, 21:36:16 PM
Joomla 2.5.18 Virtuemart 2.0.26d

Created and configured with super user. Created another admin to fulfill orders however they can not view any of the orders. I have checked and double checked permissions and everything looks fine. What am I missing?

In  2.0.26d to see the orders requires superadmin permissions. This is already fixed in the next release, currently under final test, so try VM2.5.1 on a backup of your site. http://dev.virtuemart.net/projects/virtuemart/files

Any idea when that version will be released? Does virtuemart have a release schedule or a development roadmap?

Is this issue fixed in the 2.1 version or just 2.5?

VM2.5 is the next update from the 2.1 development version. The devs have changed the version numbering, as there are several important changes in VM2.5, including full adoption of Joomla's ACL. VM2.1 does not include all these changes.  There is no final release date as it is dependent on how many users test it - the more testers we have, the quicker the release.....

Just to qualify.

Version 2.5.1 is for joomla 2.5.x not for joomla 3.x

Version 2.1 is not a great name for VM that will run on Joomla 3.x (no doubt it will change when out of testing)
