I have the following situation: I've set up a shop with relax sofas, but from some models, they have different sizes and colours. Now I've been wondering what's the best way to set up the products so I can fill in the amount of stock per color/size per sofa. So for instance They have sofa "916" they are available in Small/Medium/Large and black/brown colours. Is there a way to set it up so I can fill in there are 2Medium sized black chairs, 1 small brown one, and no LARGE size for the moment...
Now I have been using the option "custom field"->custom dropbox...but this doesn't work with the example described above.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
Afaik there is only one way the stockable variants custom field plugin
I'vv found a solution for this, but the explanation is a little confusing for me. if someone can explain it in Steps or something with images, that would be a great help. the first step already worked.(So the custom field plugin->Stockable variant) But the next part with child products and stuff is a little confusing. I am talking about this post :

Please, create parent-child structure and assign them appropriative custom fields.
If you would have some problems, post here screen shots of problematic areas.
This should be a record of the clients can choose from for this feature. Observe that this area will always be marked 'Colors' in the administration website, regardless of what you set for the 'Color Choice Prompt'.

How does it deal with product (t-shirt) sizes?
Picking color, and then size, and does it have stock counts (color red, size XL = not available or "2 left")?
My package includes a component for managing colors , assigning images for each color, aslo set price for each color of products. It doesn't support to control stock this version, for size, you can use default custom field from Virtuemart.

It is only for Joomla 3.XX. Is it compatible for Joomla 2.5. Regards
