Is there any way for a file (that I have on my server) to be attached in every order confirmation email?

Actually I my idea is to add as a PDF attachment the Legal Information details, hence yes, I mean always the same PDF file.
The link is a good solution, but if it is possible to add an attachment through a template override, that would be great.

why not just add it to the PDF invoice?
do you use PDF invoices?
PDF invoices are being sent by the VM2 when the order status has been confirmed. But, I would like the legal information details to be sent at the time one puts his order (not after an order status change).

you can easily send a link along with the order confirmation email.

It would be possible to somehow add a pdf attachment? The text is very long - 8 pages and links can not be.
There are email templates templates within Virtuemart code that may be edited, where, as suggested, you would link the downloadable document, preferably through a trackable link, so as to determine the amount of downloads. I am not sure about attachments but would recommend against it, since at attachment would be more prone to being labeled as spam.
Personally, I would recommend the transactional email component that uses Mandrill. Acajoom peo may also have the ability as well. Beyond transactional, I I would also recommend the integration of the Aweber Aweber component for the use of auto responders.
