Title: Multi-Vendor and Buyer registration
Post by: sweetkurapika on April 16, 2013, 23:56:58 PM
Hello,

I have read several posts concerning the Multi-vendor functionality in VM2.
I have downloaded VM2.0.20b which is supposed to support this feature.

However, I did not find a clear answer on how to use it in this forum.
My questions are:
1- Does VM2 support Multi-vendor or not?
2- If so, how can we create different registration forms for vendors and normal users (Buyers)?
I mean something similar to this: http://www.php-shop-system.com/multi-vendor-demo/index.php (http://www.php-shop-system.com/multi-vendor-demo/index.php)
3- I am planning to open a shopping mall for my web site, so I want to have commissions (fees for the service) for every transaction between vendors and buyers, does VM2 support this? if so, could you please tell me how to do it?

Wait for your replies, and thank you for this great component.

The current VM version supports administered multi-vendor only. So all products must be added by the site administator and may be assigned to other vendors. Those vendors have access via the site front-end to edit those products, but no other functions. The site administrator is required to set up additional vendors and collects all the product payments which he can then distribute to the vendors. See http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=107588.0

This is a partial m-v implementation; at some future time I'm sure there will be an addon to provide more capability, most likely from a third part developer. I doubt it would have the same $1500 price tag as Ixxo.
