Title: VM2 not working with Joomla cache set to YES!
Post by: juagicre on February 13, 2012, 14:54:09 PM
Hi all,

I'm using vm 2.0.1a & Joomla 1.5.23
I noticed that when Joomla cache is set to YES, the VM2 catalog menu link show me a HTTP 500 Error (Internal Server Error). It just work fine when the Joomla cache option is NO.
I'm not sure if this is a vm2 error or just some missbehaviour comming from Jommla 1.5.23, any idea???
It was working very well with previous versions of VM (1.1.X), what does happen now with this???

Thanks in advance!

Hmmm this is strange.
We designed a lot stuff working with the cache, thanks. We will take a look.

Milbo, that is on J1.5. I'm not sure that we need to worry about that cache.

Thanks a lot Milbo!!!!
And about Jenkinhill... I SHOULD worry about this problem, as without cache when my site has a lot of visitors, just hangs... (happened once when reddited :S) so what can I do to try to solve this problem? I don't know from where to start to research... thanks also anyway!

Hi, I'm facing this problem with J 2.5.6 and VM 2.0.10, when cache enabled (any option) discounts are not applied and taxes are calculated even if the user is out of the country the taxes shoud be calculated!

I had to disable caching to get it working again, I think it's a VirtueMart 2 Bug.

Was working OK for me back in 2.0.8, set for progressive caching with cart module caching set to off. Have not tested since then.
