Simple question; if/how or when is it possible to offer downloadable content in the form of a .rar (either free or for sale).
I have the latest beta version, but it appears it can only handle images?
*Also will it ever be possible to have different checkout system for either downloads(where not much information is needed) and physical products?

please try the vm2.0.1. You can there upload your own media and even give them their own icons. Use the downloadable option for free downloads. Virtual good willl be handled with a shipment plugin, which is in the last testphase atm.
1.I check downloadable in the product images tab
2.I go to products->media
3.I click new->downloadable->upload file(.rar) and save
Nothing happens... check out, pay with paypal(sandbox), never got a download link or anything...
(i do get a confirmation email. Plus I need to specify shipping information? even for downloadable products? ???)
what am i doing wrong then.. please if you could, a simple step by step for free and payable downloads?

this sucks, I wish i had never gotton vm2.
I mainly use it for downloadable products and now I have to wait for plugins or support before I can use any of that..
