Title: BUG?: English language hardcoded - not in ini file, hinders translation
Post by: Markonero on January 17, 2012, 00:46:46 AM
Hi, I'm trying to translate SEO terms. I found the original language in router.php and translations in other languages are in "com_virtuemart.sef" ini files. However, there is no original com_virtuemart.sef file in english, it's just hardcoded in router.php. This makes translating harder as I can not select english original in an extension like Missing-T since it doesn't exist.

This does not seem as the proper way to handle translation but there is an easy fix - just ship an english ini translation file. I tried to fill a bug report into Redmine - http://dev.virtuemart.net/projects/virtuemart but was not able to register, is bug reporting disallowed for some reason?

Thanks

Can anyone comment on whether this is accepted way to do this in VirtueMart and it will stay this way or whether there are plans to change this?

thanks
