what the? I get a proxy error when I try to download 2.0.

errr. is there an alternative link to?: http://virtuemart.net/downloads
or
http://dev.virtuemart.net/attachments/download/370/com_virtuemart.2.0.0_extract_first.zip

would like to get started on my project asap. please help.

Same here. It seems that the dev.virtuemart.net server is down.

No mirror site available, no information anywhere, no torrent, not good.
