Title: Unable to use PayPal API

Hello,

I am trying to enable PayPal express checkout from my site using Joomla 1.5.22 and Virtuemart 1.9.
I have set PayPal (new API) as the only payment method and I have inputted the API credentials obtained from my PayPal Sandbox account.
My site sells downloadable files.

When hitting the "Checkout with PayPal" button I get the two following error messages:

Error: 28 - SSL connection timeout

Error: PayPal returned:

Would anyone be kind enough to help me solve this problem ?

For those interested, I solved the problem by uncommenting the line

extension=php_curl.dll

in php.ini
