To latest virtuemart versions there is a problem with the product sort order in category view with price.
The products are not sorted any more using the buttons or even using "Default product sort order" selecting price.

Tested and confirmed to version "VirtueMart 3.8.8 10472".
Joomla version : Joomla! 3.10.5 Stable [ Daraja ]
PHP Version : 7.4.10

Can you test this in the current latest RC version? Not yet for use on a live site!

Tested latest version 3.8.9.10607 and the probem is still there.
