Title: Auto Select default payment methods in virtuemart does not work

Hi,
I have only one payment method, which is through Authorize.net, however the checkout page requires customers to select the payment method manually through a radio button. I have found some forums about this topic and it suggests to enable "Enable Automatic Selected Payment" option under Configuration --> Checkout tab, which I did, however it does not work. Basically it is enabled but still that button needs to be selected manually, can somebody help me on this to find out an alternative solution? I am not a coder, so I need an idiot proof explanation if any coding will need to be modified.

Template ?

This should work with recent versions.

VM version ? = VirtueMart 3.6.10 10211
Joomla version ? 3.9.16.
PHP version ? 7.2.24
Template ? Elvo - Starter Template of Helix3 framework

I have the latest version of VM but it does not work for some reason

Create another payment option
Hide it with css.
Make Your option default
