Title: Product Categories Displaying Search Window when turned off

I am using Virtuemart 3.4.2 on a new Joomla 3.9 site. In all individual categories (category view settings) I have set "Show Search" to "No". However, in some categories - not all - the search box and "Sort product name +/-" are still displayed. Why is the sesult different for some categories, and how can this be corrected?

set in the menu items if u have items to the VM cats?
