Title: Unable to order
Post by: hveillette on July 08, 2017, 16:07:44 PM
Hi,

I'm working on a new project (which I'm not the initial developper) and we are unable to process an order on the site. When we click the Order button or the Confirm Purchase button in the cart, we always got the "your cart has been  updated" message and we stay one th same page.

I can't find any information about the order flow configuration. Can somebody tell me what should I do to fix it ?

We are using joomla 3.6.5 and virtumart 3.2.2

You provide insufficient information to advise on this. What payment plugin(s) are you using? Are you using the default VirtueMart templates or a commercial template with overrides? Do you have a One Page Checkout extension installed? URL?

You should be looking at updating to Joomla 3.7.3 as ALL earlier versions of Joomla are now known to be insecure.

We are using the vivid template and it seems to be original.

The payment gateway is paypal but the problem is not there, we still stock in the cart before the "proceed to checkout" step. You can test it at http://generalbutcher.com/en/

Hello,

I have checked your site. I suppose it is atemplate issue.
Can you switch your template to default and try to order.

Best Regards,
hellorain.

We are using the vivid template and it seems to be original.

virtuemarttemplates.net have in the last few days published an updated Vivid template which is said to be compatible with current VirtueMart releases, so I guess you should update the template and see if that fixes the issue.

All updates should first be tested on a backup copy of a live site to ensure that other problems are not created.
