Hello,
I just find out that my products are not listing anymore since a customer ask me if i had other product listed than my featured one. Now i know why i didn't had any orders since ! Geez. :'(
So i use VM 3.0.16 and Joomla 3.6.2
the website is
www.immortalsouvenir.com
It is probably a stupid thing to fix this, but i can't find it !
You help will be very appreciated
Thanks in advance.
http://www.immortalsouvenir.com/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&view=category&virtuemart_category_id=2
I see plenty of products
Thank for you message, but it really doesn't show the product list.
It can list once when you 1st click but after it won't list anything at all.
Please try again and let me know.
Regards,
Fred
what do mean click again..
products are on all menus even when I refresh, move around the site etc etc
on Chrome
Thank you for your answer
I am on Chrome too and i tried on safari too and always have the same result
If you click on online store and after you click on rectangular you'll get this url:
http://www.immortalsouvenir.com/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&view=category&virtuemart_category_id=2&Itemid=29
I compared with the one you sent me and if i remove (&Itemid=29) the listing will appear.
So it it a question of understanding why VM does that.
Do you follow me ?
Regards,
Fred...
I never get Itemid 29 but I would assume it is the Home page menu id with VM homepage selected and "no products" chosen in the parameters?
your "Online Store" menu -- part of the url string
&showproducts=0&productsublayout=products_horizon&Itemid=29
so whenever you get Itemid=29 on the end of a url it will show no products
try a hidden menu to the vm homepage set to SHOW products and use another option for your home page
If u update to VM3.2 you have a lot more options for things like this
Thank you for your answer.
I am not sure what you mean by creating a hidden menu.
I also don't understand why suddenly this issue happened.
2 days ago i tried to update to the latest version of VM, but i had to restore from a backup because all the data where lost ! All categories and all products disappeared...
Regards,
If you could be more precise about the hidden menu please i will do what you propose.
Regards,
Come on.. Google!!!!! hidden menus are a basic of Joomla management!!!
You don't have to be rude with me. :-\
sorry if i don't have your knowledge
I was able to see plenty of different products on the site using FireFox.
I'm more concerened that you are using an old very insecure Joomla 3.6.2!
Did you miss the vital security releases?

Check that it has not been hacked - one indication is new users with admin permissions!
Hidden menus? Lots of infop available, eg https://magazine.joomla.org/issues/issue-mar-2014/item/1790-using-hidden-menus

No one is being rude.. but why should I type out information freely available by a simple Google search? The point would be?
This is a forum devoted to VM .. not a Joomla 101 forum
@ Jenks .. if u start on the shop home page (with Itemid 29) then browse so the Itemid is attached (by pagination or search etc etc) then there are no products showing because Itemid 29 has showproducts=0
and as you mention an update but also to VM3.2 will give more options
Thank you for your answer
I have upgraded to 3.6.5
I went to create an hidden menu to figure out that there is already an existing one pointing to VM categories.
I also went to menu item for online store and manually change showproducts=1 and it fixed the problem. ;)
Now i would like to be able to upgrade to VM 3.2, but when i tried all my data for categories and product was gone. So i had to roll back with a backup.
Any advise will be appreciated.
Cordially,
