Title: automatic updates
Post by: superdiogene on January 12, 2017, 15:31:39 PM
Hello use VirtueMart Joomla 3.6.5 and 3.0.18, in the updates I have installed some parts and not others, (see img) I read that AIO would have updated everything, but how do I exclude these plugins by the update?
thanks

these plugins are "joomla plugins for virtuemart" so disabling them just means to use the joomla functions and unpublish the plugin

The problem is that all disabled except VM Admin Module which is not present in the system and does not update

I'm having a similar problem with updates.  Attempting to update any VM module or plug-in the list results in "Invalid Extension Update" error.  While some of the plug-ins in the list don't seem to be installed, the modules are.  Installed versions are 3.0.16 wanting to update to 3.0.18.  This problem is occurring on multiple sites.

the "normal" way to update VM plugins and modules is just to use the AIO installer or VirtueMart3 AIO Update Site   thru the updater
As I understand the only reason that the plugins have their own xmls was in case of an "emergency" requirement to update a single plugin etc

Personally I'm happy to use the VM and AIO installers when I want to upgrade

Any update shows a link to a doc explaining it.
