Hello,

I just installed the virtuemart shop extension on Joomla 3 website but I changed the languages settings and save and an error occured and all my pages virtuemart disappeared.  The following message appeared on the page :

An error has occurred.

1146 Table 'subdomac.bbo_virtuemart_categories_fr_fr' doesn't exist SQL=SELECT c.`virtuemart_category_id`, category_description, category_name, c.`ordering`, c.`published`, cx.`category_child_id`, cx.`category_parent_id`, c.`shared` FROM `bbo_virtuemart_categories_fr_fr` l JOIN `bbo_virtuemart_categories` AS c using (`virtuemart_category_id`) LEFT JOIN `bbo_virtuemart_category_categories` AS cx ON l.`virtuemart_category_id` = cx.`category_child_id` WHERE cx.`category_parent_id` = 0 GROUP BY virtuemart_category_id ORDER BY category_name DESC instead of the products pages.

I created a new version of the website but this time the error occuped when I entered the safe pass and saved.

Could you tell me what had happened on my website and tell me if I will be able to recover all the datas of my website?
Is that possible that the problem is that I have installed the virtuemart components a few times and now some files could have been damaged ?

Each languages has its own database table. Therefore if you change the language of your site and have not maintained the categories, products, payment methods, shipping methods etc in the new language then it is obvious that you will not see anyone of them.  It is also expected to generate such errors. You need to go to VirtueMart backend and maintain everything for the new language of your site.

I also see this error,

I have installed the French language for Joomla and Virtuemart

Seems the table Virtuemart language has not been created

I can't see the French flag like this one:

have u configured Joomla -> Extensions-> lang-> Content languages for French?

have u checked directly in the DB if the #__virtuemart_categories_fr_fr etc tables are there?

I installed french joomla language. As below shot:

try installing the VM fr-fr lang pack again
