Title: product search - virtuemart frontpage entry needed in menu ?

Hi ... I´m confused. Instead of using the "virtuemart frontpage" menu item type for our "Shop" link, we use the "category layout". Now, using the virtuemart product search module, I do not get any search results when I search for products. If I change the"Shop" menu type entry to "virtuemart frontpage" the product search is working.

Is that normal behaviour ? or can I assume a template bug ? Does the virtuemart search depend on having a virtuemart frontpage entry ?

Using J 3.4.8 / VM 3.0.12

... any help would be appreciated. thanks.

Always add a menu link to VM frontpage !
Menu can be added without associate any module to it. SO the SEF URL works !
And do same for your cart, orders,users acccount.
The team already removed some sef links in cart because some user do not do this and give error. So please add link to VM main view
