On a very clean J3.4.1/VM3.0.6.4 using Standard Paypal - as the pending status to send an email to the shopper has been removed the logical approach is to set the "Pending transactions" Paypal status to "Confirmed by Shopper" to get an email sent
How ever the status in the order admin of an uncompleted Paypal order is still stored as "Pending"
There seems to be more problems as well as with the status "Pending" (and "Confirmed by Shopper") chosen to send an admin email, nothing is sent.
All emails are working otherwise as in confirmed by Paypal, manually confirmed, status changes etc all trigger the correct emails
But whether the Paypal "Pending" setting is Pending or Conf by Shopper - no emails to shopper or admin...
In other words no emails sent to anyone on any status less than Confirmed
I have the same problem, there is no solution?
Even after paying with Paypal the order is pending.
They are now in many weeks that we write for the same problem, possible that there is no solution?

You also mention no version info etc... have you tried the latest paypal payment module on the VM files server?
my orders confirm fine from paypal - status is set to Confirmed and emails send.
What I am posting is that no emails are sent even though I have configured them TO send on a shopper confirmed order.
I am using the status "Confirmed by Shopper"
This is needed so the shop owner can follow up orders that were placed - confirmed in VM but not paid for at Paypal.
I also do not receive the e-mail list order
I only receive notification of payment

I will try again - you are adding to the wrong thread.. I DO receive all emails (from Paypal and VM) and the ordered is confirmed when the client pays..
I am reporting that no emails are sent on a Pending/Confirmed by Shopper status even though the Paypal plugin is configured to do this and it is configured in VM to do this.
