Title: Child products SEF URL not working

Hi,

I have a MENU ITEM for vm PRODUCT A. The PRODUCT A has 3 childs.

When I go to "mystore.com/product_A" everything is OK. Then I choose  CHILD product in dropdown and the URL changes to: mystore.com/component/virtuemart/category/product_a-detail?Itemid=1289

How can I enable SEF URL for childs products. I searched but found only very old debates on this.

I just added a menu item pointing directly to a parent product. When I select one of the generic child products, SEF urls are correct in my case (Joomla 3.4.1/VM 3.0.6.4). Do you use any 3rd party SEF extension?

No I don't use third party extensions.

Tried also defult template but no luck ... Are there any setting about this.

I am on:

Joomla 3.4.0
VM:  3.0.6.2

I will send via PM.

However I created a category and assigned it to menu item and now I have.

myshop.com/myproduct/   --> this is my PRODUCT not a "buyable" parent

then when I select CHILD the url shows:

myshop.com/mycategory/myproduct_child

I am doing two styling types in my shop and this solution is OK for me!
