Hi Guys,
I am trying to use virtuemart to build a section on my website which will list properties that are for sale in different countries and different suburbs.
Am slowly working my way through it.
Was wondering if I can change the price fields to text rather than numbers. Is it something I can change easily in one of the code files or is it something very major.
If you visit the site I am working on http://www.vivaasiamagazine.com/index.php/list-all-categories/health-wellness/australia/perth/derby-hat-detail you will see I have changed the text to reflect Property Type, bedrooms, bathrooms and size. I would like to be able to add text in the property type and numbers and text in the other fields.
Am i biting of more than i can chew? If so is there a tutorial somewhere that would show me how to add extra fields to the product settings so I can create new field areas for this information?
Many thanks Jim
sounds like you should just use custom fields
Wondering why also you don't just buy one of the many Joomla property extensions - there are some really good ones around - http://extensions.joomla.org/tags/real-estate
and they work out of the box
I'm building a site for a house rental company using RSJoomla Directory. Very easy to customise and use. It's worth looking at alternatives.
