Title: Virtuemart Caching
Post by: ReJigged on February 11, 2015, 12:20:59 PM
Hi,

I'm developing a site using J!3.3.6 & VM3.0.4

Each time I make a VM related change in the back end - VM price layout change, VM module layout change - I have to use the Joomla 'Clear Cache' and clear all the Virtuemart related entries such as com_virtuemart_cats, com_virtuemart_cat_menus. Then I can see my changes and proceed.

I've read a lot on here about 'Virtuemart doesn't have a caching setting or problem' which may be true. But whilst developing I want to be able to turn any internal caching off. Does anyone know how to do this?

Many thanks
RJ

Joomla  3.4.1 with Virtuemart 3.0.8, if I inser a new category,  the pictures of it despite the plg System - page is disabled and thus naturally also Settings Chace system is no Cache, from front I do not see the new category and its pictures, for see it I must cleaning the cache backend where I find  regularly com_virtuemart_cats.
All other changes in the site outside of VM do not give me this problem.
What other element of VM I must set pr otherwise not have the cache?
Thanks

afaik it is a Joomla/VM integration problem and the devs are looking at it
In the meantime just install a cache cleaner plugin and it is just one click more
