Title: how to write mod rewrite for https?
Post by: guybr on January 08, 2015, 00:13:12 AM
Hi, I'm trying to use mod rewrites in htaccess to get cart.html, user.html and orders.html to display with https (I have SSL installed)

The problem is, I see a variety of ways of scripting the rewrites and so far none work.

I'm also not sure which htaccess file I need to use: I have VM installed on a subdirectory - do I use the htaccess file there or the one I made for the rest of the site in the root?

can anyone help point me in the right direction?

have you tried setting the VM/admin/configuration setting

Enable SSL for sensitive areas (recommended)

Hi, I have (I'm using V 2.6.6), but I keep getting the attached error message when trying to access pages like "view cart":

I only manage to get to the page and see it correctly if I do a page-refresh. It's always that way: if I clear browser cookies and click the link, I get the error. If I refresh the page (and on all subsequent visits to that page), it renders fine... I do have  a SSL certficate, so I don't know why I'm getting this problem...
