Title: PayPal SSL v3 vulnerability to POODLE
Post by: ebook2download on November 19, 2014, 12:26:18 PM
Hello,
I am in the process of building a new VM 2 eshop, I have been notified by PayPal that they will require adjustments to payment modules because the SSL v3 support will be dropped in order to prevent vulnerabilities (they mentioned POODLE, I don't know much about this issue).

Anybody knows if the VM PayPal module is already up-do-date with regard to this?

no expert but I assume the encrption method is set by your own ssl setup/cert server/host if you are using a secure connection.

I know my host has dropped all SSL support .. TLS only

If you are using the std. Paypal then no encryption is used in any case - you are just directed to the PP secure site
