Title: UPS & USPS plugins - is there a tutorial on usage anywhere?
Post by: sethwcaton on September 02, 2014, 23:49:36 PM
As I mentioned in the post http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=125031.msg427727 I wanted to figure out tax & shipping plugins.  I've got the tax part solved, but would like to see a tutorial (maybe with a few snazzy screenshots) for how the UPS & USPS plugins work.  I'm ready to buy the UPS/USPS bundle, just having a bit of pre-buy worry that I hope can be quickly calmed by someone who's "in the know."  Thanks!

Btw, I'm running VM 2.6.6 on J! 2.5.24.

That's exactly what I had in mind, but I guess I didn't find them in my VM forum searches somehow? It brings to mind another question, which the tutorials basically answer, but that I want to know for sure: getting the API access with UPS and USPS is free, correct? I don't see anything in the tutorials or on UPS and USPS websites regarding a fee for connecting to them via the plugins, but absence of proof isn't proof of absence, ya know?  By the way, thanks for getting back to my question so quickly, even though in retrospect it was a pretty dumb question, lol...

Ok, just for the sake of others with the same dumb questions as me (lol), getting a UPS and USPS account and API keys and whatnot is free.  I've signed up for both without a hitch.

Also, those tutorials are awesome.  Thanks for your help, peeps!
