Title: VM for Joomla 3+
Post by: gofer123 on June 30, 2014, 04:49:19 AM
Hi all,
I'm trying out the Beta version of VM in Joomla 3.3, it looks to be working well but I'm no VM expert.
Could I use this on a live site if I don't require custom fields and only require English language or am I pushing my luck??
Would appreciate the expert's opinion, thank you.
cheers

Hi;

It's recommended to use Release Version for Live Site.
Beta version is not recommended since they have unknown bugs, and security issue.  Well if you insist to use Beta version then.. ready to roll your dice :)

If you are not using customfields, exactly then you do not need to use VM3. The biggst advantage in vm3 are the customs and the performance.

Thanks for the reply Milbo,   my main preference is to use Joomla 3.3 because of it's built in Bootstrap as the site needs to be mobile able.
So, could I use VM 3 with no need for custom fields?
cheers

Yeh use the buzzwords.

You do not need bootstrap for responsive and mobile stuff. You do NOT NEED joomla 3 for mobile and responsive stuff.
