I just upgrade my Joomla 1.5.26 to 2.5.6 and VM1.1.9 to 2.0.26 with Migration Completed.
When I was running my store, the product URL was like this:
/regalos-navideños/cartas-al-cielo
Now after the Upgrade the URL for this product is like this:
regalos-navideños/cartas-al-cielo-detail
I want to remove the -detail from the URL.
is going break my Search Engine URLs.
This are my settings:
VM 2.0.26 SEO Configuration:
SEO: NO
Sufix SEO; NO
Traducir strings: NO
Joomla SEO Configuration:
Friendly URL: YES

You need a suffix (Search engines don't care about those) to enshure your VM2 shop is working correctly. I wouldn't be unduely concerned about the url change. Any product can be accessed through different urls anyway - depending primarily on your menu items and 'sort by' options. If you submit the new urls to Google using their Webmaster Tools, new urls are often in the Google index within 5 minutes.
BTW - if you migrate from VM 1.x to VM 2.x, it is a good idea, from the SEO point of view, to rename your product images to the actual image titles (use dashes instead of underscores between the words in the filenames) before you go live with your new shop. In VM 1.x those everything after the first 16 characters was replaced by meaningless hash value.
