Hi, first time post :)
I've been lurking for a while as I've spent about a month trying to figure out this problem for my store on my own. I've just tried searching the forums but to no avail.
I was wondering whether it's possible to set up your store to allow bulk purchases where each item (of clothing) can be personalised with individual names, etc.
For example, a customer could order 10 sports shirts, each one a different size, and each shirt with a different name and number on the back, as part of one order.
The closest site I have seen that I would like to mimic in terms of how this is presented to the customer is: http://soccershirtsonline.com/eg5067-orangeblack-p-1740.html
Rather than asking someone to take time out of their busy day to walk me through this, I really wanted to know whether or not this can even be achieved using Virtuemart? The site that I linked to was created using OsCommerce and, from everything else that I've seen thus far, Virtuemart seems to trump OsCommerce in every way, so I'm hoping a similar solution can be implemented for my website!
Thanks and apologies if I've posted this in the wrong section/it's already been covered.
Hi,
It is possible because VirtueMart is a open Source and you can put some custom hack. As far as I know, there is no ready-made solution for this in VirtueMart.

try these guys
Thanks for your help, I'll check out that link and I'll also look into writing a custom hack for it.

We do not support editing/hacking the core code. If you need extra functionality the way to do this is with a plugin so it will (generally) be stable during each VM update.
I suspect that you could use something like Breezing Forms to do what you require, ask the developers. See http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=106946 http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=108824
