In virtuemart 1.1.9 I can add a category in several categories, for example category x in category y and z, and when I change the category x it changes in categoy y and z, but now in virtuemart 2.0.24b i can find this option, anyone knows if I can do that.
What do you want to achieve? In VM2 you can assign a single product to multiple categories in the product edit view, if you wish to do so.

You're right, it only works with products, not categories. It's a same, the funcionality would be nice.
It makes not really sense. Just create another category with the same name and do it manually. Then imagine it would be the same category. You could easily create loops in the tree. I doubt a lot people could handle it correctly and if we should catch that,.. then the code is 3 times bigger and everyone will lose a lot performance. But what is the advantage? what do you try todo?
