Title: Resolution and size of the thumbnail, category and product images
Post by: LouiseW on December 02, 2013, 21:17:10 PM
Hi
Recently updated to Virtue Mart 2 and Joomla 2.5

Am having a problem with the resolution of the thumbnails for product images and category images, with the upgrade website.
Have also lost some of the thumbnails and when I reload lost thumbnails they, are blurred and stretched.

Can you please advise a solution?
Is there a way to change this.
Maybe by changing the default irresolution of thumbnails?

Thanks

thumbnail size is set in VM admin->configuration->configuration : Template tab bottom left
If you choose dynamic resizing they resize themselves when the page is requested

Hi,
Is there a way to make all images smaller than thumb center themselves within the thumb box rather stetch to fit the thumb. As most of the images used for thumbs are portrait?
Also all the landscape images for thumbs have now automatically centered themselves.

Thanks

you have to pick a thumb width smaller than the smallest full image width -- anyway - I always prefer to go to the effort of making all my images the same proportion/size - looks far more professional ..
batch resizing or padding out the canvas only takes a few minutes in Photoshop etc
