Title: Another state not showing post

Ok guys, why is this so bloody difficult?

Here are the particulars:

1) Virtuemart 2.0.24
2) Joomla! 2.5.14

In BOTH the front end and back-end, the states don't drop down. I only have the USA selected for available countries and all states are enabled.

I have tried a different template - no change.
I have tried turning off the javascript in the template I am using - no change.
I have tried SEF both on and off - no change.
I have turned off and on the Google SEO - no change.

What am I missing?

I tested with JSN epic pro. I don't have the normal joomla templates installed anymore. Front end template should not affect the states not showing up in the backend though.

Both Firebug in Firefox24 and IE10's debugger show a js error with bootstrap, enough to cause a problem with the state selector in the FE.

SCRIPT438: Object doesn't support property or method 'on'
bootstrap.min.js, line 7 character 1131

Check what is loading in the BE. If not bootstrap then maybe some 3rd party plugin is causing the problem.

Fixed.

I needed to turn on the "Configuration -> Templates -> Using the Script ajax Countries / Regions"

Well, ok,

It was working perfectly. Now it is not. What gives?

Everything else on the site is fully operational.

I am up for any ideas.

You got a gift probably from your template options. Second jquery.js. Turn it off.

Why would the frontend template have any effect on the backend?

I can't access the state dropdown in the backend either.

Hello,

I have two sites having the exact same version of joomla 2.5.16 and the same 2.0.24 Virtuemart Version.  In this site www.editio.info when cheking out we can see the states as per www.editio.ca we can't.  I have tried everything from at least 3 different forum and I'm still not able to get it to work.

I'm clueless.  Any idea?

@ mpanagis it is not a good idea to add to an already solved thread as these usually get ignored.

On checkout in www.editio.ca I get a network (server error)
"NetworkError: 404 Not Found - http://editio.ca/index.php/component/virtuemart/user/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&view=state&format=json&virtuemart_country_id=223"

Maybe a hosting issue? But check for interfering plugins and maybe the slideshow.
