Title: Virtuemart integration with other systems
Post by: eddyport on September 23, 2013, 14:37:34 PM
Hi all

Firstly, can VM integrate and work with a courier company in order to streamline the delivery and fullfillment system?
Secondly, if we have 5 different vendors all supplying product to one store, can the product databases be kept and maintained seperately
And, lastly will VM handle up to 5000 products effortlesssly?
many thanks
Earl

1. VM uses plugins for delivery so you will need to write one or more if a suitable 3rd party plugin is not available.
2. Not separate, but you can use categories, for example, to keep products separate & maintain each with CSVI (http://www.csvimproved.com/).
3. 50,000 is not a problem so 5,000 will be work OK

No it is easdy, but multi-vendor is still only partially developed. You have to test it in your scenario.
