Post by: hauhelewai on September 04, 2013, 20:23:15 PM
Hello,
On my website www.hauhelewai.com I have Virtumart 2.0.22a installed at http://hauhelewai.com/index.php/board-shop.

Whenever I click add to cart nothing is actually added.  The page redirects to the shopping cart but nothing is there.

Any help you could provide is greatly appreciated!!!!  Thanks in advance for your time and expertise!!!!

Prem, j2store and nivoslider use own jquery.js and this BAD. Get rid of that.

Also you need to update your VM.

Hello.
This is crazy ... I have the same problem recently and I cannot find help. I found that problem mentioned in many Forums and other places but none of the given solutions helped me.

The problem is just that after adding item do the cart nothing is shown in the cart.

I noticed, that it is common, that people give url to the site with the problem. I would like to do the same, but my site is only in Polish so I hope it wont be a big problem for those who would be nice to try to help me.

I also noticed, that some of you quickly recognised what jquery is used on the site. I am curious how do you do that?

I would really appreciate if anybody would like to help me.

The error is:
TypeError: jQuery(...).fancybox is not a function

You are not loading jquery.fancybox-1.3.4.pack.js  - maybe you have it turned fancybox off in Configuration/Templates/Activate Css Styles & Javascripts    The file is required!

You could also have a problem with the jquery file you are loading for modals, so may need to use jQueryEasy. But try turning on fancybox first.

You only have to look at the page source code to see what files are loading.  For JavaScript debugging see http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=119638.0

Thank you for such a quick reply.
I had FancyBox checked on so must be other reason (I tried all this adiced about jquery options given in many forums - nothing helped)
I will try jQueryEasy and post results ...

And I am sorry for not mentioning my software version, they are:

Joomla - 2.5.17
VM - 2.6.6

jenkinhill ... what do you mean about the problem with modals?

Edit:
I just intalled jQueryEasy .... but I think I need to read about usage of JQueryEasy because so far nothing changed and problem still exist.
I have to admin, that I installed before JQuery Integrator but also no result came out of it. However I do have to admit I don't know yet how to get benefit of those plugins.
Any further advice is more than appreciated.

Hi,
Try to unpublish the third party modules and then check the cart, maybe one of them causes the issue. At first try to unpublish cookie plugin.

1. you are loading jquery 3 times -
2. you have an error   TypeError: $(...).vm2front is not a function  - never heard of vm2front

Quotebut I think I need to read about usage of JQueryEasy because so far nothing changed and problem still exist.

good advice to yourself - have you done it?

3. your using jqueryintegrator - unpublish and use jqueryeasy
4. looks like a 3rd party template? if so try with std Beez
