Title: Going Live!
Post by: carbar on May 19, 2013, 08:32:24 AM
Hi,

I have nearly completed customization of my VM 2.0.20b on localhost and I am ready to upload it to the server.
For Joomla 2.57, customization pretty much is limited to the configuration file but it seems porting VM is more complicated in this context.
I'd appreciate any help on this issue.

BR,
carbar

I'm not sure what you question is, but I always use Akeeba backup to move a site between hosts.

Thanks, I am sorry I did not clarify my question. I mean possible references to local directories (file folders) for localization of the VM package. I remember I entered full path for some settings during the setup process but I am not sure where VM keeps those parameters. Does VM keep them in a file like configuration.php (as in Joomla) or in a table? Any documentation on this issue?

All you would need to do normally is to edit the Safe Path, but VM will propmt you to do that. That is the only one in a standard setup that needs to full path. All others are relative.
