Title: with SEO Enabled - Incorrect Template applied to User Page
Post by: siobhano on May 03, 2013, 02:33:00 AM
Hello ,  I am having a strange problem - I have 2 different templates one for my home page and one for all other pages. If I disable SEO everything works fine across the site with templates appropriately applied. However, if I enable VM SEO, while most of the pages are fine  I unfortunately get the wrong template being applied to some of the pages that the user sees during checkout. My site is still in development on local host so I don't have a URL to post but here are browser links for one of the problem pages the "edit address page". Source code differs between (a) and (b) and shows different templates being loaded.

(a) WM SEO ENabled -  incorrect template applied  - http://localhost/mysite/index.php/user/editaddresscartBT

(b) WM SEO disabled   - Correct Template applied  - http://localhost/mysite/index.php/cart/view/user/task/editaddresscart/addrtype/BT

Any idea why this is happening and how I should fix it ?  Greatly appreciate any help you can provide.

It will be due to the lack of Itemid in the URLs - if you're using sh404 or something you can manually change it to include the Itemid but you'll need to look at your menu items, make sure you have a menu item pointing at VM, and so forth.  Tons of posts about it on the forums.

@froston dont just tag onto an old thread just because it sounds similar to an issue you may have. The thread is 3 years old and applies to older sofware versions. Start a new thread!
