Hello,
I`m having this issue with Virtuemart 2
here is the main page (with categories) of my shop http://lumistec.ru/index.php/cat
one categry (last row, first column) has subcategories, but when I click on it, I get this page http://lumistec.ru/index.php/cat/ulichnye-svetilniki
empty, even though checkbox "show subcategories" is marked in the VM configs..
please, if someone`d had this issue, or can help, let know, pointing to the right direction is apreciated..

hi!
thanks for the reply!
ok, it`s Joomla! 2.5.9 Virtuemart 2.0.20b (just updated, but it looked the same in 2.018a)
PHP Version 5.3.18
I seem not to use template overrides, but I`m not sure, although I modify the way my categories look on the main Virtuemart page in this file com_virtuemart/views/virtuemart/tpl/default_categories.php
here is the main page of the shop with categories
http://lumistec.ru/index.php/cat
the first category (Уличные светильники ) has subcategories (some of which have products), but when we click on it, we get blank page http://lumistec.ru/index.php/cat/ulichnye-svetilniki
I want subcategories there just as they`re supposed (three rows of subcategories` names with images)
where should I dig?
Can you try disabling SEO in VM configuration in case that is the issue.

If you do that then you have to re-edit that file every time you update VirtueMart - that is why we recommend that template overrides are used for layout changes.

I have tried that, didn`t help..still blank page..

I hear you..I`ll use overrides (how do I do it though? got a link to instrucrtions?), but first I need to fix that issue of mine..
thanks for trying to help..
Template overrides: See http://www.ostraining.com/blog/joomla/overrides and http://dev.virtuemart.net/projects/virtuemart/wiki/Hints_for_the_use_of_the_template_system
thanks! nothing on my subcategories issue?
Sorry, no, and I have never seen that problem elsewhere.
too bad for me:) may be you can tell me in which file the layout of subcategories is set? I mean categories - default_categories.php, products - default_products.php and how do subcategories work?
never mind, figered it out..it did have to do with overrides..category layout `d been overrided in a wrong way..it`s all good now..thanks a lot for pointing me in a right direction..
