Title: Category alias translation
Post by: Canonier on February 19, 2013, 15:14:45 PM
Once Joomla and VM migration to the latest, I have a problem with multilingualism.
Installed languages (English as default and English as secondary), all categories are translated titles and aliases, and still I see the Polish URL aliases.

example are in Attach.

Any body know why in Joomla+VM do not translate a Sef alias to holy-communion and it is still from original lang?

But if I type:
http://amen.a3.com.pl/en/holy-communion
as I should expect, is OK, but all URL from VM Module are bad.

Any solution?
Maybe I do not know about example, clear cache of SEO?

A few things you can check:

Check if your polish category menu items have the pl language tag assiged to each item. Currently it doesn't show.
If the pl language tags are there, check if it works with a standard Joomla menu. At present you are using a special menu which probably was supplied with your template. Some Menu extensions are unable to recognize the language tags.

Make shure you translate EVERY menu item. At present you have 14 in English and 15 in Polish. This might result in the router (which is building the urls) not working correctly.

BTW - ...://amen.a3.com.pl/libraries/gantry/assets/jui/fonts/fontawesome-webfont.woff was not loading when I looked at your shop. I would reccommend to disable webfonts. Very often they are not loading or are loading extremely slow, which makes loading pages on websites slow, too.

It works.
Thank you very much for your help, I did not think that the VM module incorrectly displays the aliases bacause the menu module are all the languages menu.
