Newly migrated to Joomla 2.5.8 and VM 2.0.16

I cannot get vm manufacturers working?

It displays list of makers OK but if I click on a makers name link it shows error page

url is showing as

Code Select

/index.php/Read Private Message/makers2/manufacturers/l-e-smith-glass-co now presumably the read private message in the URL has some bearing here!

I get the same result if I add a menu item pointing to ¨Manufacturer Default Layout¨ Read Private Message appears in the url for menu item too?

Nothing shows up in Private Messages Manager: Messages module in back end

Sounds like a problem with SEF?

Indeed, it seems to be on by default in Joomla 2.5.8 I guess Manufacturers do not work with it on. Switched off and got expected results back. Thanks.
