Post by: toad78 on November 09, 2012, 02:52:20 AM
Can someone pease recommend a PayPal extension for VM2 that would allow users to stay within the website to pay for their items upon checkout?

Thank you.

PayPal Payments Pro will do that, but is only available in the US, Canada and UK

and requires a separate PayPal Payment Pro Account from PayPal.

Payment pages must be hosted on a secure server.

Thank you, ssc3:

I was going through the demo, but am a little confused:

At the Cart Checkout page where the user log's in to check out, I keep clicking the 'Login' button, but nothing happens. Shouldn't the user be logged in after they click the 'Login' button?

If I ignore that and then go down to the bottom of the form to click 'Confirm Purchase', it takes me to the Credit/Debit card details. Well, I tried entering in a fake one, but it wouldn't go through so I can see how it responds. Instead, it keeps giving me the error message that it isn't a valid 'SandBox' account. Do you have a dummy that I can test?

Thank you.

The demo should be working again now.

You are automatically logged in as a test user with pre defined details to speed the demo up.

At the bottom of the credit card order form, there is a test credit card number that you can use.

Only numbers provided by PayPal will work with the sandbox. Other numbers will cause an error.

Hi Toad,

eWAY had a free module for processing on site payments. Our unique payment method also removes your store from PCI compliance requirements, you just need an SSL.

I've attached the module to this post and you can setup a free testing account using this KB article (you'll sign up for a free Partner Portal account in the first step)

Thanks, maclean_cherry:

Unfortunately, eWAY does not offer a Portal for the US, which is a bit of a problem.

I think I'll need to look further into the other option to see if I can get PayPal to work correctly.
