Title: Virtuemart 2, Joomla 2.5 SSL and mail problem
Post by: federicoblank on August 18, 2012, 17:53:32 PM
Hi, I had Virtuemart 2.0.6 and Joomla 2.5.6 working perfectly well with a custom payment plugin.

Now my hosting provider installed a SSL in the server and I'm having problems processing payments. It occasionally works on Safari, but not on Firefox, neither on Chrome.

On the final step of the check out I get an "Command Error" alert on the site.

Also, Virtuemart is not sending the invoice to the Administrator whenever a purchase is done.

the site worked fine, but there are 3 things that may be the problem

1- The SSL
2- The emails of the site are handled by Gmail and Google apps.
3- The actual site was configured in a new server with a subdomain wp.topotepuy.com/tickets, and there was an old site in a different server, so when I finisthed the new site, I redirected the DNS to the new server with domain topotepuy.com, however, I decided to leave the store in the subdomain wp.topotepuy.com/tickets and installed the SSL in wp.topotepuy.com

I', a bit clueless in this matter, I've been searching for answers but haven't had any luck yet. I'll be very grateful if any of you could guide me or point me in the right direction to solve this issue.

Thank you very much.

For me this worked:

Especcially that line is important (enabling extension in php.ini)
extension=php_openssl.dll
