It has been almost a month since we were informed the FedEx Shipping Plug-in would be ready :o

I have been out to the FedEx Developer site and found NO readily available solution without having to take up writing the code myself, which I don't have the time for at the moment :-\

If I don't have to, I don't want to have to reinvent to wheel here, so to speak 8)

One more thang, my client is willing to pay for this plug-in, if it works properly ;)

I called Fedex and they said their whole testing service is down. They have no ETA on when it will be back up. Looks like it is still down as of this morning..

OMG!!! no wonder this plugin is taking forever to build...

The FedEx API document is a mess. Has anyone read it? The fields are so random and makes no sense. Development times would decrease if FedEx actually put some effort in describing what each field is used for or even at the least what they mean...

Done

https://www.joomlacache.com/index.php/subscriptions/new/33.html

includes 30 days support, we tested and it works. If you have any issues, just post to our ticket system for support. We will fix, no worries. but so far, it has work for over 20 sites, only one failure which we are working on. You need to register and log in to make payment and download from the site.

note: if you have customized your site, as with any extension, we will have to customize this to work, and for that we will quote. But on sites using defualt virtuemart installations, your good to go

this is a plugin   not a module

The problems I encountered and fixed during the beta testing with two of my sites, have been addressed in the present version and JCFedEx should work now with no hiccups 8)

@Anne42 and @gibex,

I haven't used this plugin, but the error "no shipment method matches the characteristics of your order" usually means the plugin wasn't able to verify that all criterias were met.

Being a shipment plugin, and a FedEx one, ensure you have set the following:

If the plugin has a debug mode, perhaps turn it on to see where the plugin check fails.

Good luck.

My API keys are correct but I still don't know what happened. I contacted joomla cache and they fixed it for me for 50 bucks. Now, I'm trying to replicate it but I still get the same error. When I asked the guy what was wrong he just said "Nothing to worry about in future.we are not changed any configuration to work the fedex. problem was shipping id goes wrong in cart so we are sort it out the problem and its works fine."

I really appreciate any help. I'm not sure what he meant with "shipping id goes wrong in cart." :( Thanks in advance!

QUOTE    I contacted joomla cache and they fixed it for me for 50 bucks  QUOTE

RESPONSE:: you were not charged 50.00 extra to fix this, support is included in the purchase price of $50.00

we do not charge separately for support unless your support period has expired, and in most cases, we help even after the support has expired if it had just expired,

the problem was with your site, and they fixed your site so that it would work. If you modified your site, you probably lost the fix and it has to be done again

why are you not contacting us to help you?,    you still have access to our ticket system,  post a new ticket to joomlacache support please

Apologies for the confusion. I didn't buy it myself so I assumed the 50 was for the fix.

I couldn't post a new ticket (tried it 5 times) so I just replied to a closed ticket. I hope you guys received it. Will try to post a new one again.

Would love to know what you guys did to the shop though so I don't have to bug you guys every time  :)

Thanks!

Seems to be an issue when submitting a VM coupon (AWOcoupon disabled) , the checkout process gets stuck on Select Shipping  page.

After some debugging I found that plgVmonSelectedCalculatePriceShipment is returning 0 , so calculateShipmentPrice() invalidates the shipment by making virtuemart_shipmentmethod_id = 0

Anyone has a similar problem?

please submit a support ticket on our website, joomlacache.com

I did, but it's gone now (30 days support expired on Oct 10).

Do you have a working demo for you component? I can't finish purchase process on your link/demo3/ shop.

Please advice, thank you

I'm sorry, made a mistake, the problem is somehow related with VM updates / other components.

The plugin works fine on a clean VM2.0.12 install.

FYI

many people are asking for features that do not exist, cant be done, and that never ever existed in any version of virtuemart

we took the 1.1.x version of fedex and converted it to vm2.0. As such, it has the same functionality and features of the original.

the original did not pass dimensions, have options for residential vs commercial rates, or the ability to select from discounted to retail rates, thus this does not either

we can customize individually for some of these features by request and quote. please contact us for pricing, these features have to be hard coded on an individual website basis

as for now, our current fedex VM 2.0 module works as it was originally designed 1.1.x VM
