Hello guys,

i run a VM2 shop with Joomla 2.5.6 and VM 2.0.6.

My site is in greek. I have installed paypal payments and it is working fine but i have the following problem.

Both in the Paypal transaction environment and the confirmation email the product title text isn't recognized.

Do i have to change something to unicode?

Thank you, in advance!

Fotis.

Hello from Greece also,

Please make sure that the xxx.ini trasnlation file you have replicate is been saved as UTF-8 without BOM. You can use notepad++ for example to change the file encoding. Copy you content --> Change Encoding to UTF-8 WT BOM --> Paste your content and save your file. Then should work perfect.

Hope helps you out.

Regards,

Nikos

Hello!

You can use j25 language override option that make the changes in override language folder. Is better from changing the original language files because every time you make a VM update or an update to language pack if you change the original files will be overwritten and you have to do it again, if you do it by override you can update language files without the need to change again the original files.

You can find a tutorial here

Hope it helps

Hello fonias,

i think it is not a .ini file encoding issue after all. Please take a look also on that post: http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=106604
