Shopping cart has been working fine, then all of a sudden (from yesterday) the shopping cart no longer pops up when a item has been added, and you need to refresh the page to see cart items.
I never installed anything yesterday or messed with settings, only thing i did was add products to the catalog.

I have enabled pop up in backend too so cant be that.
Any ideas peeps?

Hello,

It could be a js conflict, do you have any live url to check it?

Hello,

You could firebug to examine it: http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=102850.0
Also please read: http://dev.virtuemart.net/projects/virtuemart/wiki/General_JS-Problems_with_templates_and_jQuery
http://dev.virtuemart.net/projects/virtuemart/wiki/JavascriptCSS_Template_Overrides_and_Avoiding_Conflicts_between_Libraries

The following error is appearing using firebug that means that facebox from your template js or plugin/modules js conflicts.

TypeError: $.facebox is undefined
[Break On This Error]

$.facebox.settings.closeImage = closeImage;

btw, try from vm backend under Configuration-> Templates -> Activate Css Styles & Javascripts to enable the options that may be missing.

Im really confused as theres nothing i can see called Facebox on my site. When i googled it, it is something to do with a facebook box which shows feeds etc, but i dont have anything like that on my site at all.
I have disabled all jqueries running apart from my image scroller as it doesnt work with out running jquery.
Installed buglite but dont have a clue how to use the damn thing.

I have also disabled JQuery in VM too, no change, also tried disabling google jquery too, no good.

By disabling both jquery and google jquery now when you click add to cart it takes you to cart instead of pop up.

use firebug to see exactly. You are using too much JavaScript on your site from third-party plugins and modules (like chat, etc).

It has been sorted now. For anyone else in case they have the same issue, it was VM Zoom, which is obviously a plug in for zooming images on VM.
Once i disabled jquery for this all has gone back to normal.

Thank you to the mods who helped :)

Hello,

Take a look on that plugin ... http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=105768.0
Is based on forum free solutions and is also free, uses the free js plugin cloud zoom.

Also on that post: http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=103306.15
In case you want to made it by your own, without vm plugins or vm modules
