How to add a sliding caption to the VM2 facebox?

Does anybody know how to implement a nice sliding caption showing the 'Displayed Image Title' from the backend Product Images form into the VM2 facebox?
(actually I need to display something like "Product name © Manufacturer Name" upon mouse-hover or mouse-click over the image within the facebox modal window)

I suppose this would be just a few lines of code using jQuery, but I don't know javascript.
... so any instructions should be "for dummies".
