I'm getting a lot of spam from the "ask a question about this product" anyone got any ideas how I can protect it or turn it off.

Ok so the easy option is to turn this into a link, i would like to send this link to a secure form as there is no captcha with the virtuemart one.
So what i need to know is where is the file i need to edit.
Any help would be appreciated.

But I don't know if it works for VM2 already - I didn't try it myself yet.
The other options that come into my mind is:
cut out the relevant code in ...\components\com_virtuemart\views\productdetails\tmpl\default.php (lines 268 -271 in my version), rename it, i.e. 'mydefault.php' and select this one as your default in configuration.
BTW: I think I have seen that there are a few more selectable layouts for the product details page in the pipeline. Perhaps one is without the "Ask a Question..." link.
No it did not work, i have a secure form on the site so i gues the easy way would be to forward the "ask a question about this product" button to this form.

Thanks i found it, its line 251, i have now coded it to forward to my spam protected form and removed the current virtuemart one. Thanks for your help.

Is there a way of removing the button completely? I've spent ages Googling and can only find how to do it on Virtuemart 1.1, not 2.

It's not solved yet... I've also instaled the spambotcheck but i continue receiving many spam emails... sometimes 15 emails by hour in product ask for question.
Can someone provide a good solution, please?

Ive tryed but its not working in last VM version... doesnt display anything in ask for a question area..
Should we need to do some kind of hack?
plg_easycalccheckplus_v2.5-7.zip works OK for me, J2.5.9/VM2.0.20b
