With Virtuemart 3.2.4 I am trying to set up composed products or product sets.
What I like to have is a product X. Product X is a set containing product A, product B and product C. Product X itself has no stock, because it consists of product A, B and C which have their own stock.
If someone buys 2 pieces of product X, then the stock of product A, B and C will lower with a quantity of 2 each.
In the cart it is not nescerray to display product A, B and C, only product X is needed. If it can be displayed, it is a pre.
How can I set this up? With special fields and child products? I tried to, but then the customer itself needs to choose the components of product X, as a option. That is not what I like. Just ordering product X and in the backend the stock of the 3 other products wil lower.
Breakdesigns has a Product builder, checkt it out and ask them if it can do the job.
